The short version: Voquo has no user accounts. Your business details and saved quotes live on your phone. Your voice recording is sent to our server only to turn it into a quote, and is not kept afterwards. Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play, through RevenueCat.
This policy explains what information the Voquo mobile app (“Voquo”, “we”, “us”) handles, why, and what choices you have. Voquo is an AI-powered quote assistant for tradespeople: you describe a job out loud, and Voquo turns it into a price quote you can review, save as a PDF and share.
1. No accounts
You do not sign up, log in or give us your name, email address or password to use Voquo. We do not build a profile of you.
2. Information stored on your phone
The following stays on your device and is not uploaded to us:
- Your business details (such as business name, phone number, address and IBAN or payment details) that you enter in Settings.
- Your saved quotes and quote history.
- A counter of how many free quotes you have used this month.
Deleting the app removes this information from your phone. We cannot recover it for you.
3. Voice and text sent to make a quote
When you record a job, your phone’s built-in speech recognition (provided by Apple or Google) may turn your speech into text. To build the quote, Voquo sends that text, or the audio recording itself when needed, to our server, which runs on Google Firebase. The server uses OpenAI’s models to transcribe the audio and to turn the description into quote line items, then returns the result to your phone.
- Audio is written to a temporary file only for the duration of the request and is then deleted.
- We do not keep your recordings, transcripts or quotes on our server.
- Our providers process this data on our behalf under their own terms and may keep limited logs for security and abuse prevention.
Please avoid saying sensitive personal information about your customers that is not needed for the quote.
4. Microphone
Voquo asks for microphone access (and on iOS, speech recognition access) so you can dictate a job. It records only while you hold or tap the record button. You can turn this permission off at any time in your phone’s settings.
5. Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Payments for Voquo Premium are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active and to restore purchases on a new phone. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and basic device information (such as platform, app version and country). See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details.
6. Sharing quotes
When you send a quote, your phone’s share sheet opens and you choose the app (for example WhatsApp) and the contact. Voquo never asks for or stores your customer’s phone number. What happens after you share is governed by the app you share to.
7. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use advertising trackers or show ads.
- We do not use your quotes to train AI models.
8. Children
Voquo is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Your rights
Because your information is stored on your phone, you can view, change or delete it directly in the app at any time. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or KVKK), you may have additional rights, such as asking what data a provider holds about you. For subscription data, you can contact us or RevenueCat.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
